Nos interlocuteurs danois nous ont accueillis chaleureusement et se sont montrés très curieux de nos formations et très intéressés par notre présentation du lycée et de ses différentes filières post bac.
Ils ont aussi pu apprécier la modernité et la diversité de nos équipements.Nous avons également rencontré Sophie Beeren, australienne, professeur assistante en chimie organique et maitre de stage (durée de 2 mois) de notre étudiant en BTS Métiers De la Chimie, Jean-Baptiste Candela. Elle s’est montrée très satisfaite du travail de ce dernier.
Les conditions dans lesquelles il travaille sont idéales : les locaux et les laboratoires sont très récents, spacieux, calmes et bien équipés. Le matériel est moderne et performant. Les échanges en Anglais sont de qualité car les interlocuteurs danois parlent très bien cette langue dans laquelle ils assurent la plupart des cours. Nous avons eu la chance d’assister à une séquence de travaux pratiques d’étudiants : cela a suscité de nombreux échanges et comparaisons.

Jean-Baptiste, de son côté, considère son stage Erasmus comme très enrichissant d’un point de vue scientifique mais aussi plus personnel, comme il pourra en témoigner à son retour.
BRIC - Biotech Research and Innovation Center
Là encore, notre échange avec sa maitre de stage (française !), Emilie Tresse, post doctorante, s’est révélé passionnant. Après une visite des locaux et des espaces de travail, la discussion a porté sur le sujet de stage et le travail de Jessica. La tutrice est, là aussi, très satisfaite de la formation technique reçue par nos étudiants et de leur efficacité.
De son côté, Jessica est particulièrement enthousiaste de cette expérience et très reconnaissante d’avoir été encouragée par son professeur, Sandrine Doucet, à se lancer dans cette aventure.
KU - Copenhagen University
Plus tard, nous avons rencontré Michael Pittelkow, professeur assistant au département de chimie organique de l’université de Copenhague. Les locaux sont plus anciens qu’à la DTU mais un déménagement dans de nouveaux bâtiments est prévu dans un proche avenir. Les équipes de recherche en chimie sont nombreuses et des opportunités de stage Erasmus pour nos BTS Métiers de la Chimie ont été évoquées.
Nos étudiants se sont bien adaptés à la vie danoise : intérieurs chaleureux et confortables, froid parfois vif en extérieur, atmosphère toute particulière de cette capitale européenne dynamique et accueillante.
Nous espérons pouvoir approfondir et renforcer cette coopération avec le Danemark. D’autres mobilités étudiantes et enseignantes pourront être planifiées. Notamment, nous souhaiterions accueillir un chercheur danois pour une conférence pour nos étudiants au lycée Saint-Louis.

We were warmly welcomed and people showed interest in our French studies organization and were concerned by our presentation of Lycée Saint-Louis and its different post graduate programs. They were able to appreciate our modern and diverse equipment. We also had a meeting with Sophie Beeren, Australian, assistant professor in organic chemistry and supervisor of our BTS Métiers De la Chimie student Jean-Baptiste Candela, doing a 2-month Erasmus internship in her research team. She told us she was very satisfied with his work in the lab. His working conditions are ideal: buildings and laboratories are spaceful, quiet and well equipped. The instruments are modern and high performing. English speaking is stimulating regarding to the high level of the Danish staff in this language. Indeed, they teach most of their courses at University in English. We had the chance to attend part of a student lab activity, which generated many exchanges and comparisons.

As for Jean-Baptiste, the experience abroad reveals to be very enriching on a scientific point of view as well as personal. He will testify when he will be back.

Once again, the discussion with her (French!) tutor, Emilie Tresse, post doc, was very stimulating. After visiting the lab facilities and the working open space, we talked about Jessica’s research subject and work. According to Emilie, who pointed out the high points of our BTS technical training, Jessica is doing very well and is efficient.
Jessica is very enthusiastic and grateful to her teacher, Sandrine Doucet, for supporting and leading her in this new adventure.
KU - Copenhagen University
Further in the day, we met Michael Pittelkow, assistant professor in the organic Chemistry Department of the University of Copenhagen. The buildings are older in this place, but they expect to move to new ones soon. There are numerous research teams as well as opportunities for new Erasmus internships for our BTS « Métiers de la Chimie » students.
Our students well adapted to the Danish way of life: cosy and warm indoors, cool or even cold outdoors. They take advantage of this dynamic and welcoming European capital.
We hope to deeper and reinforce these working links with Denmark. New staff and student motilities can be planned. Hopefully, we expect to welcome a Danish researcher in our school for a conference for the benefit of our students of Lycée Saint-Louis.
